About
Deborah has made her living as an artist for 35 years. She graduated from Vassar College, where she studied history, fine art and biology. After teaching art and history for several years, she began painting full-time. Painting is what she likes to do best. She works in watercolor primarily, painting rural Vermont on site and in her studio in Bristol, Vermont —mountains, farms, flowers, animals, water. It is the landscape of the Champlain Valley and the Northeast Kingdom that inspire her the most. She is the mother of four grown sons and has three cats!
