Flower Gap Farm & Creamery is a grade A goat dairy in Charlotte, where Margaret Aiken milks Nigerian Dwarf goats — a breed most of the industry considers too small for commercial dairying, and whose unusually rich milk is exactly why she built the farm around it. A first-generation, second-career farmer who came from horticulture, she bought her first goats in 2014 because she thought they were cute; tasting the milk changed her plans. After a pandemic-era stretch selling yogurt and cheese to neighbors from a garage fridge, she found the Windy Corners farm on Greenbush Road through Vermont Land Link and partnered with its longtime owners as they age in place. The goats arrived in fall 2024, she left her day job to farm full-time, and the renovated 1960s dairy barn — on land farmed since the 1790s — earned back its grade A license in June 2025. The farmstand is open daily April through December, and the farm hosts Meet and Bleat visits with the herd.
