O Bread Bakery
“People shopping for meals like to have a variety of foods they can choose from. Having bread and pastries available at the market helps attract customers by giving them more food options to purchase.”— Carla Kevorkian, O Bread Bakery
What You’ll Find at Our Booth
Naturally leavened sourdough breads, pastries, and cookies baked in a hearth oven with organic ingredients, organic all purpose flour from Kansas, Wholewheat from Quebec, pastry flour from Nitty Gritty Grain in Charlotte.
About
Carla Kevorkian and Chuck Conway founded O Bread in fall 1977 at Shelburne Farms, among the first in Vermont to bake European-style sourdough with organic ingredients. The bakery still operates from a hearth oven on the Shelburne Farms grounds. Their son Gregory became co-head baker and general manager in 2018. The bakery is approaching its 50th year in 2027.
