O Bread Bakery

Prepared Food Season · Since the beginning
“People shopping for meals like to have a variety of foods they can choose from. Having bread and pastries available at the market helps attract customers by giving them more food options to purchase.”

About

Carla Kevorkian and Chuck Conway founded O Bread in fall 1977 at Shelburne Farms, among the first in Vermont to bake European-style sourdough with organic ingredients. The bakery still operates from a hearth oven on the Shelburne Farms grounds. Their son Gregory became co-head baker and general manager in 2018. The bakery is approaching its 50th year in 2027.
