Plouffe Lane Garden Co.

Agricultural Season
“We love the sense of community at the Shelburne Farmers Market. There is something incredibly special about sharing what we’ve grown with our own hands and connecting with people who value local food, flowers, and the stories behind them.”
— Devan Lussier & Abby Brewer, Plouffe Lane Garden Co.

About

Plouffe Lane Garden Co. is run by Devan Lussier and Abby Brewer on family land in Charlotte, Vermont. We grow on Devan’s Uncle Yvan’s property and honor his memory in everything we do. Sustainability is at the heart of our growing business — we save seeds, reuse nursery pots collected from our community, and make the most of every resource possible.

We grow what we love: vegetables, flowers, herbs, and easy-to-care-for houseplants propagated from Abby’s personal collection. Each houseplant begins as a cutting from one of her “mama plants,” many of which were originally shared by family and friends.

We believe every plant deserves a chance to thrive. While many growers thin multiple seedlings by discarding the extras, we take the time to carefully separate and nurture each one. Tomato suckers that are pruned from our plants are nurtured and grown into healthy new plants rather than being thrown away. This approach reflects the love, patience, and care we put into everything we grow.
