Farm Store Directory

Twenty-seven places to buy food from the person who grew it.

A Saturday market is one morning a week. The food system around it runs every day. Every farm on this page has a door you can walk through — a stand, a store, a sugarhouse, a tasting room, a cheese fridge on the honor system. Some of them you will have met on the Parade Grounds. Some you won’t. All of them are growing and making food in this valley, and all of them are worth your money.

Eighteen sit within ten miles of the market — close enough to be the Shelburne Area Farm Store Tour. The rest are worth a longer drive.

Where they are

The dashed circle is the ten-mile farm tour. Everything outside it is a road trip.

Pins are numbered by distance from the market, nearest first.

Not every farm has a front door

Plenty of the people growing and making food around here sell only at markets, or grow on rented ground, or work out of a home kitchen. They’re no less worth buying from — you just have to catch them somewhere other than the farm. This directory lists only the places you can drive to.

Meet everyone at the market

Hours change with the season, and small farms change them fastest. Call ahead if you're driving a long way — and if you find something out of date here, tell us.
